Essential- in more ways than one!
I have to say that the 72 HRS Car Tire Traction Mat (set of 2) ended up being my best purchase from this fantastic online emergency store this year.
First, the light, compact, yet strong mats fit nicely into my winter car safety kit in my SUV. Out of sight until I needed them. That happened when my car got snowed in at the ski hill overnight this spring. The heavy wet snow turned icy and slick and no amount of 4-wheel drive or “rocking” was getting me unstuck. I slipped out the mat and stuck it under the slipping tire. Once done, my car popped forward with no issue. Perfect!
My second experience was, I’m sure, unintended by the company but worked just as well! My mobility scooter got stuck in my newly gravelled driveway and I was going nowhere with no help around. Luckily I had anticipated a need for these mats and had packed them on my scooter. Again, I put them under the slipping tires and “poof” like magic I’m on my way again. Best purchase I thought I’d probably never need!

good in the wet snow
Yes - easier to handle than lengths of 2'x6'. I've got 4wd so I've used these on the front wheels when the back wheels get stuck.
